Work to convert Lake Ainsworth’s eastern road into parkland, will begin on Monday.
Despite being closed to traffic, most of the stretch will remain open to pedestrians during construction.
Vehicles accessing the nearby Sport and Recreation Centre, are advised to use Camp Drewe Road on the lake’s western bank.
All three stages of work should be complete by early August.
