The Newcastle transport interchange will open in November, with the state government today confirming the project will be finished before the Supercars event.
“We’re excited we can do our little part in getting the interchange open, people can come from Sydney, people can come from afar to come and see this great event,” said Michael Cassel from Revitalising Newcastle.
The project is still on budget, at a cost of around $200-million.
