WOOLGOOLGA SEA RESCUE BASE TO BE DECIDED
The fate of Woolgoolga’s Surf Life Saving Club and Marine Rescue base will be decided by Coffs Harbour City Council this week.
The surf club has been promised a $1-million federal grant to build a new club house on the site currently occupied by marine rescue.
Plans to relocate the marine rescue base to Arrawarra Headland are in place but the organisation says it will cost around $1-million.
A council recommendation to provide only $600,000 for the move will be debated on Thursday night.
