OPERATION SAFE ARRIVAL NETS SPEEDING MOTORISTS
A number of motorists on the Central Coast have been fined as Operation Safe Arrival extends into its eighth day.
In one incident, a 40-year-old motorcyclist was detected travelling at 142km/h on the Central Coast Highway, Erina. A subsequent breath analysis returned a reading 0.130. The man was issued a Court Attendance Notice and had his licence suspended.
Also on the Central Coast, a 17-year-old P-plate driver was detected travelling at 163km/h on the M1 at Mooney Mooney Creek. He was issued an infringement for speeding and had his licence suspended.
The operation runs until Monday 2 January 2017 with double demerit points in place.
