A contract haulage driver has died after an accident, earlier this week, at the Rix’s Creek coal mine in the Hunter Valley.
The 53-year-old man is thought to have been struck on the head by the tailgate of a truck he was washing on Tuesday.
He underwent surgery at John Hunter Hospital but died overnight.
