GOOD SAMARITAN GIVING THE LESS FORTUNATE A HELPING HAND
More than 100 people have been treated to a free Christmas lunch in Port Macquarie on Wednesday.
The St Thomas Church Hall, soup kitchen served up a roast chicken dinner, along with sausage rolls and sweets.
Event co-ordinator, Bruce Cohen has been running the lunches for the past 14 years…
He picks up bargains at garage sales, to have at least one present ready for each person by the end of the year.
“It’s all been through donations that I have worked on over the years, to get people in the business and stuff to try and support us and help us and it’s been great.”
The kitchen is open every Wednesday, with the exception of an upcoming three week break.
If you want to help him out, head down to the kitchen and don’t forget to leave a tip, to ensure his good work is continued.
