SHORTENED SHOTGUN PRODUCED DURING GRETA DOMESTIC DISPUTE
A man has appeared in court, accused of producing a firearm during a domestic dispute, west of Newcastle yesterday.
Police allege that at about 6am on Saturday a 30-year-old woman and 31-year-old man became involved in an argument at a home at Greta.
The man allegedly produced a firearm before leaving the property.
Police attended and arrested the man. Their inquiries led them to a nearby farm, where they located a shortened single barrel shotgun and ammunition.
The man was charged with a range of offences, including possessing a shortened firearm without authority, along with intimidation and malicious damage.
