Police are on the hunt for three men who robbed a hotel at East Maitland, armed with a shotgun, baseball bat and knife.
Police say the trio entered the Hunter River Hotel on Melbourne Street through the backdoor at around 10pm last night.
They threatened staff and three patrons, before hitting one of the patrons with the baseball bat.
The men stole cash and two purses, and fled out the backdoor.
