The Tamworth branch of the Country Women’s Association celebrated an impressive milestone today, commemorating its 90th birthday.
Around 40 members gathered for a 20s themed luncheon, marking the humble beginnings of the local association in 19-26.
“It’s still relevant today really because, I mean we’ve still got the same sort of problems going on and, I mean, with droughts and family’s coping with that.”
While membership numbers have dwindled, the branch is hoping to encourage more young working women to join.
