MAN STABBED WITH BROKEN BOTTLE DURING CONFRONTATION IN PALM BEACH

A man has been attacked with a broken bottle during a confrontation on the Gold Coast overnight.

Investigations suggests that around 9.30pm yesterday, a 19-year-old man has entered a Palm Beach park, where he witnessed a young man smashing beer bottles in the playground.

A verbal altercation has broken out after the older man demanded the youth stop what he was doing.

The man struck the youth in the face, and the youth has stabbed the man in the neck with a broken bottle

The younger man then fled the scene.

The 19-year-old Currumbin Waters man sustained a deep laceration to the neck. He was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

The youth is described as being aged around 14-years-old, Caucasian in appearance, approximately 180cm tall with a slim build and black hair.
