FUNDING BOOST FOR ARMIDALE’S KEEPING PLACE
Armidale’s leading Indigenous arts space has received a $60,000 grant from the Baird Government to expand its programs.
The Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Keeping Place is home to some of the oldest artefacts in the country.
“This keeping place is one of only a handful of these keeping places that are currently in operation across the state and provide a great service to the community and the broader region as a custodian of some unique Aboriginal artefacts,” says State Member for the Northern Tablelands, Adam Marshall.
The funding will be used to expand the centre’s educational programs and creative workshops.
