CONSTRUCTION AT COFFS AIRPORT RAMPS UP
Coffs Harbour City Council has started work on the airport’s six-and-a-half million dollar airside and terminal upgrade.
State MP, Andrew Fraser says it will allow a greater capacity for visitors and is likely to create 80 jobs, once the project is finished.
The redevelopment comes a week after direct flights were announced between Coffs Harbour and Newcastle.
“We’ve got the capacity at the airport now and into the future, for this expanded route, but also other expanded routes we develop.”
More than 350, 000 passengers pass through the Coffs Airport per year.
