PASSENGERS FORCE INTOXICATED BUS DRIVER TO STOP ON M1 MOTORWAY

A bus driver has been issued with a field court notice for mid-range drink driving after the passengers on the bus he was driving rang police with concerns he was intoxicated.

The passengers were on a day tour to the Hunter Valley when they forced the driver to stop on the side of the motorway at Mooney Mooney about 7pm.

Police were called, and the 43-year-old male driver was subjected to a roadside breath test, which returned a positive result.

He later returned an alleged blood-alchohol reading of 0.105.

His licence was suspended and he was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for mid-range PCA.

The man is due to appear in court on Wednesday 16 November.
