NBN News understands Newcastle’s cruise ship terminal may be named as one of the projects to receive a share in $50-million from the Hunter Infrastructure and Investment Fund.
An announcement could be made as early as next week.
“Look I will say the cruise terminal is recognised by most people as a significant regional economic driver and that was the point of the HIIF funds…I’m looking forward to an announcement very very soon,” said Parliamentary Secretary for the Hunter Scot MacDonald.
