A member of the public made a grisly discovery in the Nerang State Forest on the Gold Coast yesterday.
Police say they came across human skeletal remains at what’s believed to be an old campsite.
Detectives are investigating the discovery and scientific officers attended the scene this morning.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
