The Armidale Club on Beardy Street has been destroyed by fire this morning.
Emergency services were alerted just before six o’clock this morning, following multiple triple zero calls.
Around 20 firefighters worked to put out the blaze, which is believed to have started in the roof space.
The main part of the building has been destroyed, while the rest has been damaged by smoke and water.
Investigations into the cause are continuing.
