Small communities in the New England North West are being encouraged to apply for cash injections of up to $5000, with the next round of the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal grants program now open.
Narrabri’s Crossing Theatre is the most recent local venture to profit, receiving $4,500 in January to help attract more performances.
Priority is given to communities of less than 10,000 people, and the money is designed to create more attractions in small towns.
With more than $300,000 available, applications close on October 7.
