QUIRINDI SUCCESSFULLY DEFENDS LOCAL NETBALL CROWN
Quirindi will be Northern Inland’s representative at next month’s netball State Cup, after winning the local representative competition in Tamworth yesterday
Coming in as top seeds after an undefeated season, the defending champions downed Armidale in the decider, 65-46.
It’s left the side confident in its ability to challenge the best teams in New South Wales.
“We all know how we play. We’ve played together for about five years, all of us together. So, yeah, everyone knows what they’re supposed to do, everyone works well together and everyone gets along. So I think that’s a great team.”
While the hosts qualified for Northern Inland’s second division playoffs, but went down 64-42 to eventual winners Gunnedah in the semi final.
