A motorcyclist has died as the result of a crash near Newcastle on Friday.
Shortly before 4pm yesterday, emergency services were called to the Pacific Motorway at Beresfield, following reports of a collision between a motorcycle and a B-double truck.
The rider was treated at the scene by paramedics but died at the scene.
The driver of the truck was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
