Giving back to the community was the focus for the Billabong Clubhouse this morning, as the group held its first Jeans for Genes day event.
The not-for-profit that helps rehabilitate adults with a mental illness held a morning tea, where members donned denim to raise funds to support genetic research.
“It doesn’t matter if it only helps one person… There’s no price on a life. It’s got to be done. It’s got to be helped.”
Every dollar raised goes towards the Children’s Medical Research Institute.
