It’s been weeks in the making, but today, Meryl Swanson was officially named the Federal Member for Paterson.
“I feel incredibly humbled and honoured to be representing the people of Paterson and it is nice to have the poll officially declared,” said Ms Swanson.
Ms Swanson won with a swing of 10.39 per cent, and secured just over 60 per cent of the two-party vote.
One of her first formal duties – attending a meeting regarding the Williamtown RAAF base contamination.
