PAIR CHARGED OVER MURWILLUMBAH PURSUIT
A man and a teenager have been charged following a police pursuit in the state’s north overnight.
Around 11.30am on Friday, New South Wales police located a 24-year-old man and a 17-year-old male sitting in a white Toyota Soarer – which police believed to be stolen.
Following a verbal confrontation with police, the two males sped away, initiating a police pursuit.
Police and the Highway Patrol deployed spikes on Old Ferry Road, Murwillumbah, where the pursuit was terminated.
The 24-year-old man was charged with numerous offences, including Skye’s law, and driving while disqualified. He was also charged with outstanding warrants relating to a break and enter.
The 17-year-old male was charged with three counts of aggravated break and enter, Skye’s law, and possessing a knife in public place.
