MORE FUNDING PROMISES FOR PATERSON
The upgrade of Cessnock Road at Testers Hollow is shaping up to be a key election issue in the seat of Paterson.
Today the Coalition has committed $15-million to elevating the road, to prevent it from flooding during heavy rain.
In April last year, residents in the suburb of Gilleston Heights were isolated for six days.
The announcement by Major Projects Minister Paul Fletcher and Liberal Candidate for Paterson Karen Howard, comes just over a week after Labor also announced $10-million for the notorious stretch.
Meanwhile the ALP has promised 19,000 homes in the electorate will receive NBN fibre to their premises, if Labor is elected on Saturday.
