RUGBY COMMUNITY SUPPORTS CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN

The Far North Coast rugby league community is rallying behind one of its own.

Player and coach Niko Vakararawa recently suffered a stroke while coaching the under 16’s Marist Brothers side.

The Fijian national, who represented his country at the 2000 world cup, is now in critical condition in Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital.

A crowdfunding campaign, raising money to support him and his family, is nearing it’s $25 thousand target.
