FIVE ARRESTS FOLLOWING OPERATION HORNETS
Five people have been arrested over illegal access and trespassing on Commonwealth Land in Northern NSW.
Operation Hornets was launched on Friday and concluded on Saturday night. The operation utilised the services of Port Stephens police, Royal Australian Air Force, and the National Parks and Wildlife Service.
The two-day operation saw five people arrested, totalling 13 charges. The charges were all related to trespassing on prohibited Commonwealth Land, and entering a park closed to public.
The culprits were issued with court attendance notices for next month.
