The future of the Grafton to Inverell cycling race is at risk, if another organising committee can’t be found.
Having run it for the past four years, the 2016 group has stepped down.
A major sponsor will also need to be found, after this year’s race ran without one.
In a positive sign, representatives from Cycling New South Wales and the National Road Series co-ordinator have already begun discussing how to keep it going.
