Several of the Hunter’s private hospitals are in line for multi-million dollar makeovers.
Healthe Care has announced plans for a $25-million upgrade of Lingard Private at Merewether, which includes a new 50-bed ward, a hydro pool and added parking.
Maitland Private will also receive $25-million for additional theatres, a chemo suite, extra beds and parking – while $9 million will be spent at Toronto Private.
Work is due to begin soon on all three projects, which is expected to take up to 18-months to complete.
