GIANT SURFBOARD TO PROMOTE CASH FOR CANS
Local Scouts groups have created the world’s biggest surf-board, made from cans and bottles.
The young volunteers collected 2500 pieces of rubbish for three months to build the sculpture, as encouragement for the state government to adopt a recycling scheme.
South Australia has a system where collectors get 10 cents for each bottle or can.
