THE POPPY PROJECT RETURNS TO THE COAST

The annual Poppy Project is underway, as a sea of 60,000 handmade poppies fill The Skillion at Terrigal.
The display coincides with ANZAC Day, this year’s blooms marking 100 years since Australians joined British forces on the Western Front in 19-16.
“It’s just part of that community spirit we show here on the Central Coast, which is amazing. If you go down there, it’s well worth the visit.” says Gosford Mayor, Laurie McKinna.
A mixture of knitted, crocheted and paper flowers have been laid out, to spell the word ANZAC.
