WOMAN CHARGED AFTER ALLEGED ARMED HOLD UP AND PURSUIT
A 44-year-old woman has been charged after an armed hold up and police pursuit near Gloucester.
It’s alleged the woman entered a service station on Church Street in Gloucester, her face covered with a black stocking and holding an item resembling a firearm.
She allegedly demanded an amount of cash from the female attendant, before fleeing the scene in a car with allegedly stolen number plates.
A short time later police spotted the car and initiated a pursuit where the accused was arrested.
However the woman managed to escape custody and continued driving before losing control of the car and crashing down an embankment.
The woman was arrested again and taken to Taree Police Station where she was charged with a number of offences including armed robbery, police pursuit and escaping custody.
