It’s known as a Mobile Ocean Action Pod, and it could be coming to a beach near you.
The touring educational unit has been designed to raise awareness about the damage discarded plastics can have on marine ecosystems.
The Total Environment Centre, which is behind the project, says 80 per cent of marine debris is plastic litter from the land.
The pod will be on display at Nobbys and Merewether beaches over the coming weeks.
