  1. The insistence of Armidale to proceed with the merger, which would be a hostile takeover, proves that Armidale Council disregards the wishes of Uralla residents. Last night’s meeting, overwhelmingly rejected the amalgamation, for a second time! What doesn’t Armidale Council understand by the very clear + resounding “No!”, from Uralla residents? Armidale Council has failed to provide any information of its proposal! It failed to inform the Counciks it wants to takeover, so if they fail in that consultation process, how can we expect any consultation if we are merged?

Let’s just refer to this so called “amalgamation” in terms of what it really is! A bail out of the mismanaged + broke Armidale Council!

  2. Hold out Walcha – you will end up like second cousins just like Wauchope has. Another amalgamation that will see Armidale come up on top, you will miss out. Definitely the same as what happened with Port Macquarie Council. Never spend anything here like what is spent in Port!!!
