About 60 patrons were forced to evacuate a hotel in Belmont last night, after a fire broke out in the storage basement.
Emergency services, including six fire crews, were called to the Gunyah Hotel on the Pacific Highway at about 7.45.
The fire was extinguished a short time later and the scene was handed over to police.
The fire is not believed to be suspicious.
