HALFWAY CREEK UPGRADE FAST TAKING SHAPE
The Halfway Creek section of the Pacific Highway upgrade is fast taking shape with work on twin bridges well underway.
Concrete girders were lifted into place today which will soon form two 70 metre long bridges.
Weighing 50 tonnes each, the girders were manufactured by a Coffs Harbour based company.
“A significant milestone of the project, great to see all the work happening and you don’t have to drive too far up and down the highway to see just how much work is happening.” Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan said.
More than 40 bridges will be constructed on the Woolgoolga to Ballina stretch, which is earmarked for completion in 2020.
