A 49-year-old fisherman has had a lucky escape after his tinnie began to sink off the Coffs Harbour Marina.
A bystander captured it on her phone, with police saying the man was heading east towards Muttonbird Island around 2.15 yesterday afternoon before something went wrong.
“For an unknown reason the boat has dragged its anchor and ended up on the shore, a surf lifesaver attended a short time later and towed him off the shore.”
The man was unharmed.
