Police are investigating the cause of a fire, which damaged a laundromat in Newcastle this morning.
At around 2:30am, fire fighters were called to the business on Glebe Road at Merewether.
Residents living above the laundromat were evacuated and treated on scene by paramedics.
It’s believed the blaze may have started in a dryer.
