A young girl remains in hospital tonight, after being struck by a car at Cumbalum.
The nine-year-old was crossing The Ridgeway when she was hit yesterday afternoon.
She was taken to Lismore Base Hospital suffering head and chest injuries.
Police allege the car’s female driver later blew 0.103
She’s been charged with mid-range drink driving and will front Ballina Local Court later this month.
