FESTIVAL BUSINESSES SEE BIGGER NUMBERS THIS YEAR
A number of businesses along Peel Street experienced a disappointing country music festival last year due to a lack of foot traffic,
but this time around it’s a different story.
Following talks with council and additional entertainment between Brisbane and Bourke Streets, numbers are much bigger.
“We’ve had a lot more people come down which is what we want, you know we want to be kept part of the festival and by working with the council and Barry Harley it’s helped out quite a bit.”
Businessman Roger Couples says it’s a work in a progress, but it’s a huge improvement compared to this time last year.
