Cirque du Soleil has arrived in Newcastle, with the world-renowned circus troupe bringing its show Quidam to the Entertainment Centre.
Performers spent the day rehearsing, ahead of the opening tonight.
“This time around we bring you in to the imaginary world of a little girl who you meet at the beginning of the show. She’s bored, disconnected from her family and then the Quidam character opens her life and opens up the door of her imaginary world,” said spokesperson Jessica Elboeuf.
Quidam has toured the world for the past 20 years, but will retire after shows in New Zealand next month.
