YOUNG BOY AWARDED BY NSW AMBULANCE FOR BRAVERY
An 11-year-old Hunter boy has been presented with a Star Award from the New South Wales Ambulance service, for his bravery in assisting two people with burns.
On April 17 this year, paramedics were called to North Arm Cove near Karuah, following reports two women and a nine-week-old baby suffered serious burns in an explosion.
The mother and her baby went to a nearby home where paramedics Alan Walker and Jan Weatherley live, for treatment.
Their son Connor assisted by helping cool the baby and deliver medical kits to his parents.
Today’s award recognises the bravery shown by children when faced with difficult medical circumstances.
