Environmentalists have renewed calls for popular music festival Splendour in the Grass to be moved from the North Byron parklands site.
It comes after the New South Wales department of planning and environment slapped event organisers with a $3,000 fine for breaching noise restrictions.
The campaigners say holding music festivals onsite is highly impractical.
It’s the second time the event has been fined.
