ARMIDALE HOME TO SIGNIFICANT KOALA POPULATIONS
Several organisations have united to protect Armidale’s koala population.
Since 2009 more than 260 koala sightings have been recorded through council’s online register.
The University of New England and National Parks and Wildlife Service is preparing to use the information to develop the Northern Tablelands Recover Strategy for the vulnerable species.
Residents are being urged to continue to register any sightings on council’s website.
