One of the busiest boat ramps in the Port of Newcastle is set for an upgrade – but it won’t happen before the busy summer season.
The North Stockton ramp offers access to the Hunter River, and to the heads for offshore fishermen.
Now Newcastle Council has secured $850,000 for improvements.
Sealed car and trailer parking areas will be established, along with a new amenities block, landscaping and picnic areas.
Work is due to start next April.
