A Norah Head man has had his car impounded after a high speed police chase on the Pacific Highway yesterday afternoon.
Police say the motorist overtook a highway patrol car at Rainbow Flat just before 5 o’clock, before allegedly reaching speeds of 160 kilometres per hour.
It’s claimed police were forced to use road spikes near Nabiac after the man failed to stop.
Police say the man told them he just wanted to get home.
