HUNDREDS TAKE PART IN COASTAL CHARITY WALK
More than 600 people walked from Moonee to Park Beach on Sunday morning, to raise funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
Now in its third year, the Coastal Charity Walk is an all-terrain challenge across sand, bush track and roads.
“Beautiful landscapes but very hard because of the sand. So it was hard but good to finish.”
“The chopper needs vital funds from the community to keep that service going and it’s a lifesaving service.”
The walk mirrored the success of the Byron Bay to Ballina charity walk earlier in the year.
