PASSIONATE RALLY IN SUPPORT OF KURRI PUPPY

Around 50 people rallied in Newcastle today, calling for tougher punishments for animal cruelty.

Protestors carried signs with photos of Lucky, the only survivor of a litter of 10 puppies, beaten to death near Kurri Kurri earlier this month.

“People are just devastated, absolutely devastated that someone could do something like that. It’s just horrifying.”

The case is due back in court tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the RSPCA says little Lucky is improving with the help of her foster carer, and has mastered how to walk on a lead.
