The State Member for Newcastle claims he found a confidential cabinet paper, revealing the government went against the advice of Transport for New South Wales regarding the city’s light rail route.
Tim Crakanthorp says he discovered it after moving into the office of former Liberal MP, Tim Owen, late last year.
“We actually found it right at the back of a filing cabinet and its a cabinet in confidence document so we were quite amazed to see it and following protocol I referred it straight to the leader’s office.”
But Mr Owen’s former staff say the office was cleaned out, and nothing left behind.
