CENTRAL COAST GPs SHINE LIGHT ON REGION’S HEALTH CARE
Central Coast doctors had an opportunity to speak out about the region’s health care today, during a roundtable discussion on the future of Medicare.
Erina GP, Peter Carr, says it was a good opportunity to discuss local issues.
The talks are part of the federal government’s consultation process surrounding proposed Medicare reforms.
Meantime the region’s doctor shortages are set to be eased, with the federal government extending its District of Workforce Shortage system to the seat of Robertson.
The changes mean GPs in suburbs like Avoca Beach, Terrigal and Kincumber will find it easier to recruit doctors locally.
