The state government has opened applications for its Sports and Recreation Events Program.
Organisations in Tamworth and Armidale are encouraged to apply for funding, especially those looking to host community, national or international events in 20-15.
The process is competitive and applicants will be judged on criteria, including the need for the event and a cost effective budget.
Grants are capped at $10,000 for community events and $15,000 for national championships.
Applications close January 30.
