HOPES FOR ‘CENTRAL PARK’ ON KINGSCLIFF WATERFRONT
Tweed Council is seeking federal funding, to bring to life what’s being dubbed ‘Central Park’ at Kingscliff.
If the plan goes ahead, half the tourist park on Kingscliff’s waterfront will be bulldozed to make room for the 10,000 square metre space beside the Community Hall.
The $20-million project will be funded in part by Council.
But it’ll need a $10-million commitment from the federal government to make the plan a reality.
